We live close to the biggest Japanese supermarket in our state. They also have a restaurant that serves sushi. They sell the freshest sushi grade sushi in town. Since they sell seafood, one is sure that all the fish in they use their sushi have never been frozen. Every Saturday we would go to their sushi restaurant. One of my favorites is the “Seafood Dynamite”
Seafood Dynamite is a mix of different kinds of seafood tossed in a spicy sauce and baked. For people who cannot eat raw fish, this dish is a must try.
2 cups of mixed seafood (any kind of boneless fish, squid, shrimp will do – I would use salmon, scallops, and shrimps)
1/2 c mayonnaise (I used the Japanese Kewpie but any kind of mayo will do)
Sriracha (adjust depending on how spicy you want it)
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. Tobiko (flying fish roe – optional)
1/4 c scallions, sliced
1 tsp Sesame seeds, optional
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients except the scallions and sesame seeds. Place mixture is an oven safe dish and bake it for 5 minutes.
Turn the oven setting to broil and broil for 5 – 7 minutes or until the top turns a bit dry.
